DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: CEO

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: This position is part of the executive leadership team of the company and is responsible for the strategy and day-to-day activities of the Operations organization in support of all Capstone Green Energy product lines and systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains the Operations department systems, processes, and protocols including all technical and administrative functions related to the production and testing of Capstone Microturbine products.
  • Builds, develops, and manages a professional manufacturing and supply organization that accomplishes manufacturing and supply chain initiatives, is responsive to future and present customer needs, meets commitments, and is supportive of cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Ensures that all Operations functions comply with federal and state requirements as to safety, conditions, processes and practice.
  • Maintains close collaboration with other members of the executive management team to assure the business health of Capstone.
  • Seeks continuous improvement of all areas of manufacturing and production
  • Communicates effectively to foster cross-functional, inter-departmental collaboration on production schedules.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to the Company's Board of Directors.
  • Prepares and submits comprehensive operating plan, including budgets and cost forecasts.
  • Insures best in class safety programs are in place and unnecessary business risk is avoided.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest ethical standards in all Operations functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business or equivalent degree. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years in manufacturing of complex industrial products.
  • Five or more years management experience including management of purchasing and supply chain activities.

Pay Range:
$206,850.00 - $260,000.00 annually

DEPARTMENT: Accounting/Finance
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Maintain the credibility and integrity of the Company’s general ledger and monthly financial statements by properly managing certain accounting functions and internal controls.  Assist the Controller and Accounting Manager in providing analysis and compliance work for internal and external parties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and analyze general ledger activities.
  • Prepare month end journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
  • Maintain Fixed Assets module, reconciliation and analysis.
  • Perform cost center trend analysis.
  • Perform treasury functions as assigned.
  • Prepare vendor payment files for management review.
  • Provide guidance to AP with processing questions and provide best practices.
  • Prepare and file domestic sales/use tax returns and international VAT/GST returns.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for the financial statements and footnote disclosures.
  • Perform/maintain internal controls related to accounting functions.
  • Prepare and file periodic domestic and international government reports.
  • Work with external firms to manage domestic and international tax filings.
  • Perform other projects as assigned.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Three+ years of accounting experience
  • Basic knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Extensive ERP system knowledge; SAP is preferred.
