Purpose of the Position: This position is responsible for actively participating in designing and implementing a variety of supplier quality control processes and systems to ensure a robust supplier selection, certification, assessment and verification program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in establishing and maintaining Quality Assurance standards for Capstone suppliers. These standards shall adhere to Capstone Supplier Quality policies and ISO regulations to ensure that appropriate products and services are provided.
  • Responsible for the quality of products manufactured at external manufacturers.
  • Act as facilitator in resolving supplier and procurement related issues.
  • Develop and implement, in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, supplier development and part certification programs for new and existing suppliers.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality tracking system with appropriate metrics and reporting systems.
  • Review suppliers purchase orders for appropriate quality requirements flow down.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct audits, surveys, and inspections.
  • Support company initiatives to develop and improve supplier performance and productivity.
  • Manage suppliers using the Capstone Supplier Corrective Action Processes
  • Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing quality procedure to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and report on supplier quality-related activities to verify quality system, product and contract, or purchase order compliance.
  • Participate in first article inspections.
  • Ensure that suppliers document and maintain an approved quality system to meet the appropriate company or customer requirement.
  • Represent the company with suppliers to ensure that suppliers’ manufacturing and Quality System, special processes and products meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory and government regulations.

Skills and Abilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To allow students to learn through hands on experience, providing an opportunity to blend textbook knowledge with practical experience. Students will contribute to the development of new or improved manufacturing processes and will be given the opportunity to work cross functionally with other departments to maximize their learning opportunities .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, executing and reporting of priorities including man-hour estimates, reacting to changing priorities, and record-keeping and reporting.
  • Providing general production support for assembly area as needed:
    • Participate in the evaluation of upgrades for machining or assembly.
    • Troubleshoot issues (quality, efficiency, etc.) on assembly line or machine.
    • Weigh in on situations that need technical assistance.
    • Participate in hands-on problem solving and resolution.
    • Report and facilitate correction of out-of-specification conditions.
  • Determining the proper processes:
    • Review, analyzing standards and operation layouts and make suggestions for change.
    • Assist in the selection of and implementation of tooling and fixtures for machining and/or assembly job.
    • Participate in capital equipment justification as needed.
    • Participate in the planning and implementation of preventive and corrective actions for reducing scrap, rework and down time.
    • Research and suggest ideas for new technology.

 ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled and pursuing a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering degree from an accredited university
  • Someone entering junior or senior year preferred
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are necessary in order to act as a liaison between engineering, production, marketing, purchasing, and members of the manufacturing team.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To support operations by developing and optimizing manufacturing methods for new and existing designs

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Determine appropriate manufacturing methods for turbomachinery and related components, including new designs and modification of existing designs
  • Work with suppliers to incorporate the best manufacturing methods into the design and eliminate quality manufacturing issues
  • Assist Operations in dispositioning discrepant material and insuring engineering intent is met in the manufacturing process
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure capable stable process
  • Generate the supporting documentation (i.e. drawing, engineering changes, layouts, engineering reports, test plans, specifications, PFMEAs, Control Plans, )
  • Generate design solutions for turbomachinery components and development test rigs
  • Lead procurement and initial test of prototype hardware and rigs to validate designs

 SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be computer proficient with 3-D CAD, Catia V5 preferred,
  • Indepth knowledge of metals manufacturing methods, machining, forming, casting and forging for components used in gas turbines.
  • Knowledge of other manufacturing methods, controls, assembly, and balancing.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To oversee the Facilities & EHS Program Emphasis is on maintaining a zero-incident safety culture, managing 5S Culture and ensuring compliance with permits, safety plans & state and local mandates.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and mentor facilities team including team development and performance
  • Manages & maintains capital projects for critical facility infrastructure and safety programs.
  • Develops & supervises execution of facilities preventive maintenance plans.
  • Ensures security measures for the workplace, collaborating with internal security and system vendors.
  • Manages space planning, budgets & construction projects within the facility.
  • Responsible for fire life and safety systems, & new employee / contractor / vendor orientation programs.
  • Develop & implements site programs, policies & procedures for EHS. Evaluate proposed projects & new chemicals for EHS compliance.
  • Conducts safety inspections, ensuring documentation & corrective actions for deficiencies. Investigates incidents/accidents/near misses, determines root causes & implements corrective action plans.
  • Lead projects for continuous improvement in the "Zero Incident Safety Culture" program, manage 5S Culture, ensuring a zero-incident EHS culture site-wide.
  • Prepare & submit environmental permits, renewals & routine agency reports.

 YOUR SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Industrial Engineering, Biological Science, Safety Science, Business Administration or Management from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing Facilities and EHS experience
  • California regulatory experience.
  • Experience in EH&S applications (e.g.: Training, Compliance, Inspections)
  • Good communication and presentation skills. Position interacts with all levels in the organization from laboratory employees to legal, to corporate executives. In addition, position will interact with external parties including government officials as required.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Supply Chain Manager is in charge of overseeing and facilitating the smooth movement of materials throughout the production process, with a focus on managing the Purchasing and Production Planning & Control teams. Collaborative efforts are directed towards achieving complete customer satisfaction and optimizing performance in material costs, inventory management, and maintaining accurate and feasible schedules. This involves balancing personnel staffing and making efficient use of corporate equipment and assets. Develops methods, establishes standards, and implements procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Ensures seamless coordination among the teams under management.

Successfully executing this role requires an individual to possess a thorough and proficient understanding of the Materials Management body of knowledge. This includes a mastery of essential terminology, concepts, and strategies related to demand management, procurement, supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control, and continuous improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulates and documents processes, maintaining comprehensive department procedures.
  • Presents Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data and recommendations for monthly reporting to the Management Team and Senior Management.
  • Manages financial aspects and individual costs related to parts/services.
  • Supervises the entire supply chain, encompassing business terms, relationships, audits, contracts, and performance evaluations.

  • Takes charge of coordinating mandatory physical inventory audits.
  • Ensures prompt and confidential resolution of high-priority issues.
  • Handles sensitive data at the highest organizational levels, maintaining strict confidentiality of corporate information.

DEPARTMENT: Aftermarket Customer Service

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Customer Service

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for monitoring and managing Capstone Green Energy’s growing long-term EaaS rental fleet to maximize value and communicating key financial and business analysis to the management team to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the operations and maintenance of Capstone’s long-term EaaS rental fleet by overseeing the technical & engineering support, logistics, and maintenance parts.
  • Implement a long-term 24/7 remote monitoring tool for the rental fleet.
  • Develop 24/7 call center support for the direct rental fleet by utilizing the US and UK contact centers, and an external answering service for off hours.
  • Create inventory locations in the US and UK hub, and drive demand to ensure 48-hour MTTR for direct rentals.
  • Organize rental asset “wellness checks” and work with Distributors to make sure rental assets are properly serviced and maintained.
  • Develop Applications checklist and ensure usage by EAAS Management Team and Distributors prior to rental commissioning to minimize unscheduled maintenance costs and improve efficiency.
  • Search for used Capstone equipment for purchase or re-rental to support the dynamic growth of Capstone Green Energy EaaS rental fleet.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence of rental agreements, policies and procedures, rental return checklist, rental delivery, and other forms.
  • Monitor performance of rental fleet by developing and maintaining a robust Rental Dashboard utilizing the fixed asset module, RSS contract module, and various other reports from SAP.
  • Facilitate monthly support meetings with Sales, Technical Solutions, and Service department to review the health of the rental units, trends, and future needs to maximize profit and minimize loss.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and useful life of rental units and ensure the best return on investment.
  • Make sound decisions to preserve the company's capital and protect its assets.
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on the rental P&L to ensure the company's fixed assets are performing.
  • Create Incident Reports from inbound rental inquiries in XFracas, create scheduled and unscheduled part orders for rental units in SAP, and updated the RSS contract module as needed.
  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned as necessary to support the Aftermarket Customer Service department.
  • Identify and avoid potential problems for the customer service organization by using quantitative techniques.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Lead all major special projects working directly with the VP, Customer Service.

 SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Applied knowledge of key Project Management tools and techniques including scheduling, cost management, change control, concepts of balance of time, scope and resources, work breakdown structures, risk management, and contracts.
  • General knowledge of operations, including scheduling, manufacturing, field service, business development, and quality systems.
  • Experience in gas turbines, fuel systems, controls, power electronics, or power generation is desirable.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Provides leadership within Customer Service in order to provide highly responsive problem resolution advice to Authorized Service providers and end-use customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads the swift resolution of reported technical problems in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Works closely with Applications Engineering and Product Development Engineering in resolving site and/or product deficiencies
  • Provides improvements in documentation and training resulting in a higher Authorized Service Provider (ASP) competence.
  • Works in tandem with Regional Managers and Global Services to ensure closure of open technical issues in the fleet
  • Coach technical support engineers and representatives on all aspects of the microturbine operations, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Build and develop a team of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to support Capstone’s product line service activities
