PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Maintain the credibility and integrity of the Company’s general ledger by properly managing certain aspects of the general accounting function and internal controls. Support the Assistant Controller in providing financial analysis, planning, budget control, accounting and profit & loss reporting.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish the goals of the finance & accounting department.  Performs a variety of tasks using a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages month end close
  • Manages preparation of monthly account reconciliations/bank reconciliations
  • Prepares monthly trend analysis
  • Prepares financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
  • Reviews, analyzes and interprets all financial and budget reports

DEPARTMENT: Sales & Marketing

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Marketing and Distribution

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Manage, maintain and grow proper use of Capstone’s Customer Relationship Management solution – both internally and through the distribution network. This person will serve as the “go to” for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and perform updates, such as add/delete users and adding custom fields/flows.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take ownership of all aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, and sharing rules.
  • Create a configuration roadmap, define priorities, and execute the customization of new or existing workflows, process builder, flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, apps, actions, custom settings, validation rules, mobile, reports, and dashboards.
  • Administer Capstone’s Mobile Publisher application on both Apple and Android development platforms.
  • Maintain and update Enterprise and Distributor Community.
  • Develop, maintain and update, as needed, a variety of Salesforce.com training tools for both new and existing users and standard and customized Salesforce.com features, reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain and update Capstone’s Salesforce Knowledge Base.
  • Work with Capstone Sales Team to implement full use of Salesforce.com internally as a management tool for distributor sales performance.
  • Train Distribution Network users on proper use of Salesforce at all levels – sales person to executive manager.

Department: Software & Electrical Engineering

Reports To: Director, Product Engineering

Purpose of the Position: Design, fabrication and testing of electronic subsystems used for communication, control, and electrical power generation for Capstone Microturbine systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and select microelectronic subsystems and components, necessary to provide output electrical power from Capstone Microturbines and for overall system control.
  • Design cabling for electronics and power interconnections, selecting the appropriate materials and referencing the standards necessary to assure compliance.
  • Source and integrate appropriate components compatible with PCBA circuitry and layout.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues with PCBA’s related to hardware malfunction, damage, electro-magnetic interference, and grounding.
  • Perform computer-aided design of electronics and control electronics subsystems plus the automatic and manual testing of these subsystems.
  • Work with supply chain personnel to develop and evaluate external vendors, and to identify alternative parts in support of supply issues and obsolescence concerns.
  • Coordinate and provide guidance with appropriate personnel from Engineering and Manufacturing to assure the electronics and control subsystems meet specifications and integrate within the desired Capstone Microturbine System and Subsystem.
  • Work closely with Certification to ensure regulatory compliance is maintained.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge and experience in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic component selection and industry standards / best practices, especially surface mount devices on PCBs.
  • Knowledge and experience with PCB layout techniques for noise immunity, circuit design, troubleshooting and EMI filter design.
  • Demonstrated capability of schematic design and PCB layout, OrCAD for creating schematics, and PADs are preferred.
  • Experience in logic design and VHDL programming for CPLD and FPGA is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge and extensive experience in high-speed digital circuit design with microprocessors and DSPs, products from Xilinx, TI and Motorola is a plus.
  • Experience with HALT and HASS testing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with motor drives and power supply design and test environments is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal abilities to participate positively within a design and production team involving numerous technical disciplines.
  • Demonstrated flexibility to handle multiple projects concurrently, leading to effective results and completion.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills - able to lead projects effectively with suppliers and technicians.

DEPARTMENT: Customer Service

REPORTS TO: Director of Global Services

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Primarily responsible for coordinating the warranty process within Capstone and key subcontracted component suppliers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process service claims and summarizes warranty activity.
  • Resolve warranty disputes.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Finance Department.
  • Maintain active warranty status report with Business Partners.
  • Manage flow of RMA material from customer to logistics.
  • Investigate and resolve errors with logistics.
  • Initiate invoicing if RMA material is delinquent.
  • Update quality tracking system.
  • Enter refurbishment quotations in SAP system.
  • Track the financials for refurbishment programs
  • Report outstanding accounts receivable with key subcontracted equipment suppliers.
  • Initiate credits to customers for cores and spare part returns.
  • Detail oriented with process flows
  • Analysis of processes to help improve workflow

DEPARTMENT: Aftermarket Customer Service

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Customer Service

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for monitoring and managing Capstone Green Energy’s growing long-term EaaS rental fleet to maximize value, and communicating key financial and business analysis to the management team to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Oversee the operations and maintenance of Capstone’s long-term EaaS rental fleet by overseeing the technical support, logistics, and maintenance parts.
  • Implement a long-term 24/7 remote monitoring tool for the rental fleet.
  • Develop 24/7 call center support for the direct rental fleet by utilizing the US and UK contact centers, and an external answering service for off hours.
  • Create inventory locations in the US and UK hub, and drive demand to ensure 48-hour MTTR for direct rentals.
  • Organize rental asset “wellness checks” and work with Distributors to make sure rental assets are properly serviced and maintained.
  • Develop Applications checklist and ensure usage by Solutions Team and Distributors prior to rental commissioning to minimize unscheduled maintenance costs and improve efficiencies.
  • Search for used Capstone equipment for purchase or re-rental to support the dynamic growth of Capstone Green Energy EaaS rental fleet.
  • Maintain and ensure adherence of rental agreements, policies and procedures, rental return checklist, rental delivery, and other forms.
  • Monitor performance of rental fleet by maintaining the Rental Dashboard utilizing the fixed asset module, RSS contract module, and various other reports in SAP.
  • Facilitate monthly support meeting with Solution Sales, Technical Solutions, and Service department to review the health of the rental units, trends, and future needs to maximize profit and minimize loss.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the quality and useful life of rental units and ensure the best return on investment.
  • Make sound decisions to preserve the company's capital and protect its assets.
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on the rental P&L to ensure the company's fixed assets are performing.
  • Create Incident Reports from inbound rental inquiries in XFracas, create scheduled and unscheduled part orders for rental units in SAP, and updated the RSS contract module as needed.
  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned as necessary to support Aftermarket Customer Service department.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Responsible for all Operations elements regarding the design, production, and certification of Capstone Microturbine products and systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and maintains the Operations department systems, processes, and protocols including all technical and administrative functions related to the design, production, testing, and certification of Capstone Microturbine products.
  • Builds, develops and manages a professional engineering organization that accomplishes engineering and product initiatives, is responsive to future and present customer needs, meets commitments, and is supportive of cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Builds, develops, and manages a professional manufacturing and supply organization that accomplishes manufacturing and supply chain initiatives, is responsive to future and present customer needs, meets commitments, and is supportive of cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Ensures that all Operations functions comply with federal and state requirements as to safety, conditions, processes and practice.
  • Maintains close collaboration with the executive management to assure the financial and business health of Capstone.
  • Builds, develops, and maintains an Operations leadership team that improves and manages productivity, employee morale and relations, cost/schedule/quality of Capstone products and services, and all other elements of the response of Capstone Operations to a changing, worldwide market for Microturbine products.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest ethical standards in all Operations functions.
